It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…
“HEYYYYYYYY we *just* celebrated Halloween! And what about Thanksgiving???” Shush, just go with it people! See All-Clad is as part of my life as well, flour, chocolate, Mr. Fantabulous and breathing. I love them THAT much!
By now from on here and here and here, plus Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest you all know I have a deep love for All-Clad. More importantly I have respect for them and their superior product.
Twice a year All-Clad has what’s called their ‘Seconds Sale’. This is all their stuff that they either have too much of, has been discontinued or deemed irregular. They come fully back with All-Clad’s warranty. Now the whole ‘irregular’ may cause concern but trust me, there is NO CONCERN! Their may be a blemish – small scratch, logo off center, something that causes it for the big department stores to not want to sell it. In no way shape or form does it lack in quality or performance.

Anything else you want to recommend. I am bringing my ten year old son with me. We will be staying the weekend and I am driving there. Also why do you”need” a pressure cooker? I may “need” one also. Hehe
I “need” one because I don’t have it 🙂 They have boxes you can drag around to put your stuff in OR if you have those foldable wheeled carts, bring that. Take your time and if you don’t see something that you want, just ask. They replenish the stock I swear every 15 minutes (the factory is literally minutes down the road).
I’m so excited for you! You guys are going to have a blast! I’ll be there Saturday (11ish or so).
Best Kitchen Wishes!
I was just on face book and I saw t that in the kitchen posted in Feb that the sale will be may 30 31 1 2 of June. I wanted to verify because it is not posted on this site
Hi Monique!

That’s their Pressure Cooker. They didn’t have it over Christmas but I’m hoping they will have it this May. I NEED one!

You’re also only a few miles from the Meadowlands Casino and racetrack (horses). About 35/40 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. In addition you’re about 7 miles from one of the coolest Candy (Chocolates) and Ice cream parlors around. Sarris Candies (https://www.sarriscandies.com/)
Plus if you’re flying in, All-Clad does offer UPS for you when you’re there that way you don’t have to worry about lugging everything on the plane.
Has All-Clad released the 2013 dates for the Factory Seconds Sale? We made it last June but missed December. I want to make sure we get there in June.
Hi Karen Marie!
No, not yet. They should be out the end of March.
HOWEVER… keep an eye out here VERY SOON *hint hint hint* for another FANTABULOUS giveaway that *may* include some All-Clad *wink*
Best Kitchen Wishes!
I just got home from the sale. WOW! I actually debated not going because I wondered if after waiting through all the lines if I’d really find any bargains. So glad I went! I walked out with Copper-Core of the following:
5.5 QT Dutch Oven With Lid
(2) 6 QT Saute Pans With Lids
4 QT Sauce Pan With Lid
4 QT Saute Pan With Lid
(2) All-Clad XL Flared Roasting Pans With Racks
I won’t mention what I spent but it was a STEAL! Retail on the lot is $2750 based off of Amazon pricing and I paid well below half…truthfully less than 25% of that!!!! I’ve honestly never spent this much money and not felt guilty. Actually…I wish I’d bought more! In terms of condition, all are pretty much as good as you’d expect if you bought them new in stores. Absolutely will be going to the next one! The place is packed, the lines are long, but all the shoppers I encountered were really nice people.
Ron,
That is AWESOME!!! It truly is one of the best events we have here in Pittsburgh. The staff are like family and so unbelievably helpful and genuinely nice! And the prices! OH GOOD LORD.. insane, right?! I got there today and was talking with a few people that I knew and 2 women came up to me and said “Hey, aren’t you The Kitchen Whisperer? We love your site! What products do you recommend here?” Before I knew it I had a crowd around me and just discussing the differences in the lines, how to clean them and what I’m there for.
Hands down the Copper-Core is the best of the best. It’s funny.. some woman said to me “I buy them but won’t cook in them because they are too pretty!” I chuckled and said “Well then just buy 2 of each; one for display and one for use.” Um.. she took me up on it!
OMG those XL Flared Roasting Pans were a STEAL!!! Originally what, $299 marked down to $49!
If ever you have questions about your products (cleaning, or what not – or just want to chat), shoot me an email. And make sure you’re subscribed here as Santa Fantabulous will be having VERY SOON another giveaway that *may* include some All-Clad *SHHHHHHHHHHHH* 🙂
Merry Christmas and Best Kitchen Wishes!
Thanks for the reply. I’m a big foodie/food geek/cook so I’ve wanted to Copper-Core stuff for a while. That sale is just amazing as far as the bargains. The 6QT saute pan goes for 530 on Amazon and I bought 2 for less than half. The Dutch Oven was a real nice one as well. I think some lamb or veal shanks are going into that bad boy for Christmas. As for care, I actually find this sort of stuff to be simple to care for. If you get the used pan into some soapy water while it’s still warm you can come pretty close to spotless with just a dishrag. I have Barkeeper’s Friend but doubt I’ll need to use it much. Try this the next time you use your stuff…if you see those cloudy spots after washing, dry it, cut a lemon in half, and rub the cut side of the lemon firmly over the interior surface. Works like a CHARM!
I think we’re related then Ron as I’m a huge foodie and cook/baker 🙂 The dutch oven would be perfect for the lamb! I have a great recipe for lamb on here that would so rock in your dutch oven! http://www.thekitchenwhisperer.net/2012/05/07/happy-national-roast-leg-of-lamb-day/
Great tip on the lemon! Never thought of that! Yeah, I love Barkeepers friend but like you said, rarely use it. I actually have a polishing rag (minus the polish) to use on my pots after they are dried to remove any water spots.
I really wish this year they had some of the utensils this year as I could always use another set of them. Have you seen their new 4-slice toaster? It’s GORGEOUS and totally a must-have in the kitchen!
Best Kitchen Wishes!
Well, you had me wondering until you didn’t say you drool over lamb…I totally do! Last Christmas I did a grilled leg of lamb to go along with the roast turkey. Let it sit in a marinade of EVOO, balsamic, rosemary, thyme, garlic, and of course some red wine in there for good measure. Grilled it to mid-rare and man was it good! Before I’d even sat down my dad had polished off 3 hefty slices of it! Lamb is easily my favorite red meat whether it be rack, leg, chops, etc….I just LOVE it!
Not sure on this Christmas’s menu but I think it’s pan roasted halibut over sauteed kale with a tomato fennel broth and a herbed porck rib roast with wild rice and homemade pork sausage crumbled in. Yes, homemade! Picked up my new meat grinder today!
Yeah, I’m not down with lamb. My first Christmas at my now, in-laws, house my mother in law made turkey and also lamb. Well I hadn’t tried it but said I would. First off.. the whole ‘red’ (to me it’s RAW) thing was an issue but I gave it a shot. Now everyone loved it but for me, I swear it took 37 minutes for me to chew one bite. I have tried it in a restaurant afterwards and uh huh, you can have it all 🙂
I actually don’t eat much red meat. I love steaks and burgers but they don’t love me. Plus I tend to go for a high protein diet. I’m all about fish, chicken, turkey for meats. Though I do love an awesome beef roast.
Christmas dinner at your house sounds awesome! What time should we be there? 🙂 I’m still not sure what I’m making. I may go with a seafood bisque, asiago & chive gourgeres, chili and bourbon glazed apricot ham, parsnip and potato gratin and about 10,000 cookies/biscotti/cheesecakes 🙂
I’ve been collecting (and using) All-Clad for 15 years and absolutely LOVE it! Even though I live on the west coast now, I have family that still lives in Pittsburgh. They go every year for me and buy my Christmas presents there!
Thanks a million for your awesome tips and your fantastic recipes! You are a kitchen goddess!
Hi Lora,
Oh wow, what an awesome family you have! As I asked Pradeep above, anytime you want to adopt another into your family, I’m available 🙂 I have cookies! 🙂
Best Kitchen Wishes!
Thanks to your tips for the last sale in June we really hit the jackpot! We have been planning for this sale! My family is going to love me as we are getting them All-Clad for the holidays!
Between your fantastic recipes, to your tips & tricks and your reviews, we are so addicted to your site!
Love you Kitchen Whisperer!
Hi Pradeep!
You are most welcome! Ohhhhh All-Clad for Christmas!!! Can you adopt me into your family?! 🙂 All-Clad makes the PERFECT holiday gift!
And I love that you are addicted to my site 🙂
Best Kitchen Wishes!
Great info; thanks! What do you personally recommend out of all their pots/pans? What about cleaning them?
We’re from D.C. and we WILL be making the trip for this! Thanks again!
You are most welcome Liz! If I had to pick, I think the best series is the Copper Core collection. See with All-Clad and specifically the Copper-Core, it uses a five-ply bonded design utilizes a copper center core to maximize heat even conductivity and responsiveness. The copper ply is bonded to aluminum to enhance heat distribution while making the pans not so heavy and cumbersome. The bonded exterior and interior layers provide the ideal cooking surface, allow for ease of cleaning, extreme durability and honestly look FABULOUS in any kitchen.
These, in my opinion, are the ultimate pan.
To clean them I use warm, soapy water. For anything that is tougher (like burnt sugar or the like) I use Bar Keeper’s Friend. Most local grocery stores carry it. Plus I use a non-abrasive sponge. They shine up like brand new.
Best Kitchen Wishes!
The thermometer….OMG!!!!!! Want want want
Barbara – we have the thermometer and it’s so amazing! I love that it’s programmed to measure the temps of all meats, etc. Plus it’s just so pretty that I’m okay with letting it set out on my counter! I definitely recommend this!
I wish you could make it as well as this sale is truly amazing! And I whole heartily concur about the All-Clad Thermometer. It’s fantastic!
Best Kitchen Wishes!
I wish I could get there because there is a saucier so I badly covet.
YES YES YES! I have been waiting for this post! My wife and I are so looking forward to this!
Thanks a million Kitchen Whisperer!
Hee hee 🙂 You are most welcome John! Happy Shopping!
