*Clears her throat to sing*
“Happy Birthday to me… Happy Birthday to me.. Happy Birthday dear Lori…Happy Birthday to me!!!” Okay it’s not really my birthday but it kinda is. See twice a year All-Clad has what’s called their ‘Factory Sale’. This is all their stuff that they either have too much of, has been discontinued or deemed irregular. They come fully back with All-Clad’s warranty. Now the whole ‘irregular’ may cause concern but trust me, there is NO CONCERN! There may be a blemish – small scratch, logo off center, something that causes it for the big department stores to not want to sell it. In no way shape or form does it lack in quality or performance.
Each year this sale occurs in December and May/June. To me I tell everyone All-Clad has this sale at Christmas for me (and only me) to help Santa with getting me presents (hint to Mr.Fantabulous). And the May/June sale All-Clad has the sale again to help celebrate my birthday (May 21st). They do this for all of you wonderful folks to help in buying ME presents. See… they are just so truly thoughtful! What? No? They don’t do it because of me? Shhh… you believe what YOU want and *I’ll* believe what *I* want! haha
By now from on here, here, here, here, here and here, plus Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest you all know I have a deep love for All-Clad. More importantly I have respect for them and their superior product.
♥When: Friday, June 6th and Saturday, June 7th, 2014
♥Time: Friday is from 9am-7pm | Saturday is from 9am – 4pm
♥Where: Washington County Fair and Expo Center | 2151 North Main Street | Washington, PA 15301 | Phone: 724-225-7718
♥Directions: http://www.washingtonfair.org/washingtonfair_008.htm if you’re close to Pittsburgh
♥Things to know:
ο They accept cash and credit card (at least they did the last 15 times I’ve gone).
ο Bring a friend and a bag to carry all of your stuff!
ο There is no better day to go though if there is something you really want, it’s best to go on Friday morning as items sell out fast.
ο The past few times people started lining up pretty early (like 6am) but I go later in the afternoon and there is always a boat load of product left.
ο What is so awesome about this sale is that through out the entire 2-day sale, the wonderful folks of All-Clad keep replenishing the products.
ο If you buy more than your vehicle can fit (trust me, you will buy and buy and buy!) in the past they have offered UPS shipping.
ο The sale is in-person only; no online ordering. Take the trip and visit – Pittsburgh is GORGEOUS this time of year and it truly is a site to see!
ο The All-Clad employees that work at this event are SUPER nice and extremely helpful!
ο They have recently had a few shopping carts for people to use. If they are being used they do provide heavy boxes that you can either pull around or carry.
ο If this is your first time going, be prepared to be amazed!
ο There will easily be 150k-200k people that will flow through this event.
ο If you’re going and they have their 20 qrt stock pot.. leave it, it’s mine! I NEED it! *wink*
What else can I tell you?
→ I do not work for All-Clad nor do in any way represent the company. I am merely someone that truly loves and respects their products from both an engineering standpoint and cook/chef view.
→ Going by past sales, they have full sets as well as individual pieces, sauce pans, stock pots, non-stick, stainless, crock pots, grill pans, utensils, lids, bake ware, cookware, strainers, griddles and so forth.
→ If you need assistance carrying your items to the car they have amazing folks there that will help you.
→ They have introduced “Flash Sales” on low stock items through out the sale. Please be courteous and try not to run someone over getting that item.
→ Have fun. Really, just have fun. There is so much stuff and the people are so nice. If you’re not sure how to use or clean an item, ask someone.
→ If you see me, say hi and introduce yourself.
→ There are hotels close to this sale (within minimal driving distance) so come in for the weekend!
→ If you have questions ask here or contact All-Clad themselves.

Thank you for all the info! ! We will definitely make a trip to Sarris. Looking forward to those hills!!
Nope there is nothing left on my wish list other than the 2 lids. When I first spoke with you last year you armed me with so much knowledge that I left with $1100 worth of pots and pans, hmm I wonder how much retail that would have been????, well I did have 2 20 gift certificates so I saved $40. But in my mind I was thinking I will never do this drive again let me get everything my heart desires…I think I may just pay full price for the lids because I really don’t want to do that drive again…anyone from Chicago going?? Or Indiana??? Can I give you moolah to pick up my lids???
I’m thinking of attending the sale next month and making it into a weekend getaway since it’s a 6 hour drive. I’ve found some hotels near the Tanger Outlet Mall, but not sure if this is close to the county fairgrounds? Also, do they allow children into the sale? My 10 year old would be with me. I figured we’d do the sale and then spend the rest of the weekend sightseeing. Thanks!
Irene take note of the scary hills.
My son and I stayed at the Hampton inn in Washington.
Kids can go to the sale, in fact mine was on cart duty. I put him in a corner and placed my items in the cart and he watched it.
On the advice of the kitchen whisperer we went to sarris. My advice SHARE a small ice cream.
I had a seven and a half hour drive so I needed music to focus on because those hills creeped me out.
Hi Irene!
As Monique said, Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas are hilly. We take it here as the ‘norm’ but most folks I guess are used to more flat open roads. The places by the Tanger Outlet Mall are maybe a 10 minute drive to the sale. Yes they let kids there. Kids love it actually.
And yes, definitely go to Sarris Candy. Their ice cream shop is awesome but the portions are ginormous! If you are into baseball (and there is a game), PNC Park in Pittsburgh (about 35 minutes from Tanger) is unbelievably beautiful!

I am at an impasse…Do I drive from Chicago and all I really need are (2) 12 inch fry lids and risk spending more money because…hey when I arrive there will be something that I absolutely “need” or do I stay at home.
I am in the not-so-same-boat. My drive would be a minimum of six hours one way, but there are at least 4 items that I would love to have :(. What is an All-Cladder to do? It would be nice for us to have access to these seasonal sales/discounts. 70% off is a HUGE deal. SIGH
6 hours? Wow! Well look at it this way then. Yes you’d get amazing deals but also stay the weekend and check out the city. Washington is a great little town (so is Canonsburg) or check out downtown Pittsburgh as there is a TON to do here. Just like Rickie commented above, there’s so much to do and see here.
What pieces are you looking for?

For 4 items I would do it!!! I have a 7 1/2 hour drive for the two lids that cost 9.99 and they have not had them in the last two sales that I attended. I would be so upset to do that scary drive for nothing…
HAHA you sound like me Monique when I go shopping “I only need milk and bread but end up with a $200 grocery bill every time”. As I’ve told others the sale is amazing and something I encourage people that truly love All-Clad to check out. But stay the weekend and check out the town and sights.
Look at it this way – could you get gifts for others? Is there something on your “wish list”? Plus remember if you can’t make it this sale, there will be one in December.

Beside great hotels, there are plenty of things to do in Washington PA. The Meadows Racetrack and Casiono and the Tanger Outlets. Washington has a minor league baseball team, the Washington Wildthings and they have home games Friday Saturday and Sunday night. Definitely could be a good weekend for the entire family.
Hi Rickie!
I agree with you! After the sale we hit up the Meadows for lunch, do some discount shopping at Tanger and then Sarris for ice cream. It’s definitely a great place to visit for the weekend!

Hi, I wish I could be as excited as you are about the sale. I went once and it was a fun experience. However, people need to do their due diligence and check over each piece carefully. I purchased a copper-core saute pan. I have an electric smoothtop range and the bottom of the saute pan is warped and does not cook evenly on my stove. If you have a gas-stove it wouldn’t be a problem. As a result, I hardly use that $100+ pan.
I suggest that if you do go, bring a wheeled cart to put things in. They do supply large boxes with string that you can pull around the room but it gets heavy fast and becomes difficult to drag around. The All-Clad staff run this event better than Disney. I waited in a queue that was outdoors but covered. If it’s raining, snowing or the sun is beating down, you are protected. Everything is very orderly. They only allow a certain number of people into the area at a time. Lines for checkout run smoothly.
Katie,
Definitely contact them (http://www.all-clad.com/Pages/Customer%20Service/contactus.aspx) Was the bottom warped when you bought it? Please, contact them as they stand 100% behind their product.
They started actually about a year ago also supplying shopping carts as well as the boxes. And I agree, the staff runs the event so smoothly! Disney and others should take note of this!

hahaha! this post cracked me up, lori!
ps – we just finished the chunky mushroom and bean burger leftovers tonight. that recipe ( for 2 people) served as burgers, breakfast hash with over easy eggs, and the meat in two sauce meals – indian over rice and in tomato sauce over zucchini pasta. you have made my first week as a vegetarian not only ok – but down right delicious! thank you!
Hi Pam,
Wha? I mean it makes perfect sense the timing of these events – my birthday and Christmas. 😉
Thank you so much for your very kind words about those burgers. They have taken over foodgawker and tastespotting as the hottest recipe out there right now. I’m thrilled! Wait until you see the next version of these burgers! All vegetarian and totally scrumptious!

Are there any all clad sales on internet? I live in and I cannot drive to Pittsburgh for their sale
In the past it’s been very, very limited due to it being tested out in a beta stage. I haven’t heard from them if they will be offering it this year or not. As soon as I know I’ll share.

There is an online factory sale, but it’s limited – not as huge as the warehouse. You also have to sign up for the access. The website is allcladvipfactorysale.com. I honestly dont remember how I got on this list, but I get an emailed invite twice a year to participate. Maybe it was when i went to the actual sale and signed up, not sure, but maybe this website will allow you to sign up for future events.
My wife and I have been going to this for the past 3 years thanks to your postings. You are correct when say they are superior!
Would love to meet you this year! We love your site!
That’s awesome to hear Dave, thank you!
I’ll be there on Saturday and would love to meet up as well. When will you be there?
Best Kitchen Wishes!
It’s because of you that I have fallen in love with All Clad! Love the sale!!!
Hi Cathy!
Thank you so much! I’ll be there on Saturday this year! Stop by and say hi!
