Wow is it Sunday already? I had SUCH a productive week last week that the time just flew by. I so love weeks like that! I’m finally building out my team and in just a week we accomplished so much work. So super proud of them! Some may say “oh no you’re jinxing it” but I am so excited for the future and what my powerhouse will accomplish. Speaking of accomplishments, the Fantabulous in-laws came up for the day one day last week. It’s funny as I hear so many people say how they don’t get along with their in-laws. I have one friend that will literally avoid all interaction with their mother in law. I feel sorry for them and truly unbelievably grateful for mine as I honestly adore them. I look forward to spending time with them and would love nothing more than to have them move in with us. It’s funny as even though we’re not blood related, I’m so alike Mama Fantabulous. My own mother would have loved this woman. And don’t get me started on Papa Fantabulous. OMG he and my Dad, along with Mr. Fantabulous would have been the bestest of friends. Always ‘putzing’ around as my Dad would say; into everything and anything.
So while they were here I worked from home, which again I get so much more done as there are less disruptions, Mama Fantabulous swept my floors and straightened out the massive clutter Mr. Fantabulous left in the kitchen. Trust me, I “yelled” at her, “threatened” to beat her butt but that woman gave me the look and you do NOT cross her with that look so I let her have at it. Papa Fantabulous and my baby got so much work done downstairs in the remodel. Almost all of the seams are plastered in the media and billiard room, new pipes were run in the ‘boy room’ and other ‘boy’ stuff. The ‘boy room’ is a room I have zero desire to go into as that houses part of the mechanics of what makes the house ‘run’. I’d be screwed if Mr. Fantabulous left me as I have no clue what any of those things in there do. So yes folks, there is a HUGE disadvantage in living in Barbie’s dream house. You need to know EVERYTHING that makes EVERYTHING work and function. However we’re like two peas in the pod so I don’t have to worry about him going anywhere. Plus he’d starve with out me and no spider would ever get killed *wink*.
OMG OMG OMG speaking of spiders (he’s sooooooooooo going to kill me for telling you guys this BUT…)
After the Fantabulous in-laws left I was in the laundry room in our pool house doing something for Mr. Fantabulous when I spied this GINORMOUS spider in my laundry tub. Now when I say ginormous let me discuss what type it was. We have what are known as ‘Fishing Spiders’ around here. Go on and google them but they can span 5-6″ across. They are non-poisonous however they are big, fat, hairy and scary. I’m not afraid of them but when you’re faced with a full size one you do get creeped out as you question if a shoe or rolled up newspaper will kill it. Anyway, this one was a baby and by baby I’m talking about 2 1/2 ” round. Look at your laundry tub drain. See how big that is? Yeah, this was about twice the size. You can see a pic here on Facebook if you are so inclined. he did not see this beast …that is until I told him to get out of the room. He’s petrified of spiders and while this is a baby, yes baby sized, Fishing Spider it’s still pretty scary. As I went to kill it he then looked from behind me to see what it was… Then he saw IT and literally jumped back and said “WHOA!!! Back the truck up!!!” .,, I literally lost it at that point and couldn’t kill it because I was laughing too hard. Finally I did however… <insert evilness> every chance I get now I’ll sneak up behind him and make spider leg tickles on him! Yeah I know he’s going to get me back but dear God it’s priceless right now! LOL
Well it finally quit raining for 2.5 whole days! I know, right! SUPER EXCITED! I get to actually see blue skies and that big fireball in the sky. Yesterday morning on my way home from the gym I was actually able to ride around with my windows down for the first time in… um… God I don’t even know the last time I was able to do that here in Pittsburgh. And with today being sunny again I’m going to wrap this up as I need to go cut the grass before it rains and I sink the tractor and get my butt working on much overdue recipes and photo edits. So here’s to you having one fantabulous week!
