Happy Sunday TKW Family! I hope you’re enjoying weekend! And for those of you that have 3 days off, I hope that extra day of sleeping in rocks! It’s funny, all of my life I never really slept long. Like I’m typically a 3-4 hour a night sleeper. I never napped; just never was tired. However… now, I’m kinda liking this whole nap concept. I still get about 4 hours a night sleep but I find about once every couple of months I feel drained so I’ll take a 2 hour nap which honestly, is one of the best things ever.
Like for example yesterday we were super busy all day. I got up early, made a tray of brownies for brownie whoopie pies, made several dozen of my 5-chunk chocolate chip cookies, 2 dozen of cranberry cookies plus worked outside for about 3 hours cutting back more bushes and trees. Once I was done with that (for the record Mr. Fantabulous and I did the outside work together), we took my new car (YEAH!!! It’s GORGEOUS and rides like so smooth! I HIGHLY recommend the Civic Touring!), to the dealership for them to detail and drop off a big box of cookies for Joe our salesmen. After that we headed over to the Fantabulous’ inlaws for dinner, a movie and just to relax. Well from doing all of that work, my already hurt shoulder was killing me. So by 7pm Mama Fantabulous and I went downstairs to watch some cooking channel while the Fantabulous men were in the garage doing something with a weedwhacker. Next thing I know it’s 9:30 and I had completely sacked out. What was adorable was Mama Fantabulous was reclined back in her chair sacked out too. That nap rocked! LOL
But yeah, I got my new car last week. You know my being a truck/SUV girl my whole life there’s something to be said about driving around in a car that looks fierce and rides so smooth. I’m actually loving this car plus I’m LOVING the gas mileage it gets! My average is 37 mpg which is awesome considering I drive about 110 miles a day round trip for work!
So how was your week? Last week was busy but not too bad. This week though will be pretty busy as it’s a short week. You know, cram 5 days of work into 4 days. However for me since I’m having an MRA done on my right shoulder on Thursday and the company picnic is on Friday, it’ll be cram 5 days of work into 2.5. lol
Also this Thursday is Mama and Papa Fantabulous’ 60th anniversary. Yes, 60! I am so truly blessed to have them both in my life. I absolutely adore them and pray my marriage is like theirs – full of love, laughter, patience and joy. We are definitely on that path (though we both have work to do on that whole patience aspect at times) but we’ve been together 20 years (married 9) so I have faith. But wow, 60 years! That’s just truly amazing!
Today I’m testing out a new crock pot pulled pork recipe. I making a BBQ Peach & Bourbon Sauce with it. It smells AMAZING so I’m pretty confident it’ll turn out awesome! Want some? Any way I should get my butt going as I have a million things to get done today and I’d actually like to relax. Have a fantabulously amazing week!
