Happy Sunday TKW Family! Gosh, what a week! Oy! Did you ever just get so run down, so tired that you’re like “Okay, it’s time to shut off everything and just take a breath from… life?” That’s kind of where I am right now. Like I feel overwhelmed with stuff. I just have so much going on with work and my company that I’m finally at the point (okay so I’ve been saying this for a while but now, when others are seeing it, it must be true), that I need some assistance. I’m looking for an intern or an assistant to help me with TKW. From helping with shoots, recipe testing/tasting (lots of tasting), video editing (I NEED to start creating videos), and help with client work (appearances, etc). I’d prefer someone local for now but then I’m open to remote. We live in a technological age where everything is just a click or skype away! If you are that person that is looking to get started into blogging, being an influencer or a chef in training, then I want you! Send me an email!
So how was your week? Mine, as usual, was crazy busy at work. But when you’re so understaffed that tends to be the case. However I can’t complain as I have a job that I absolutely love doing. TKW also has been busy. I’ve been working on a few new items for the website and really pushing hard on Instagram. Plus I’m working on my Amazon store to make it more user-friendly and break it down into categories. I also want to add a page to my website that, for every Instagram post I make it will auto publish to that page that way you can click on any image and find it on my website.
Butcher Box – yes I really do use it and LOVE it!
I’ve been teamed up with ButcherBox for about 4-5 months now and honestly, I’ve not bought meat anywhere else. We seriously love the quality, the flavor and what all you get. A normal sized box lasts us about 6 weeks as, for us, it’s a lot of meat. For example, their boneless chicken breasts come in 1lb packages with 2 breasts in each. Each breast is so huge that we get 4 full meals out of that single pound of chicken. There’s not mystery injections of other stuff that you’ll see on grocery store packages and, as I said, the quality has been absolutely incredible. For example, I had a 1lb package left last week and with it starting to get cold again, I use that single 1 pound package of chicken with about 1 1/2 cups of rice, some stock and veggies and made enough soup for an entire week. It was loaded for chicken and the chicken flavor was incredible!
When you sign up for a ButcherBox membership, you get lots of options to choose from in terms of quantity and types of meat you want delivered to your door each month. The first step to getting the best ButcherBox for you and your family is to choose either a curated box — featuring 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef, organic free-range chicken, and heritage breed pork— or a custom box. With a custom box, you can choose which cuts of beef, pork, or chicken you will get delivered to your door. You can also choose beef only, beef and pork, beef and chicken, or all 3. Their curated boxes include well-known cuts of beef and pork — New York strip steak, filet mignon, and pork chops, for instance — as well as more difficult to find cuts of meat like boneless country-style ribs, beef brisket, and tri-tip steak. ButcherBox Head Chef, Yankel Polak, also includes some of his favorite recipes and cooking tips to help members make delicious meals with their monthly box of various cuts. In addition to picking between a custom and a curated box, members can also select the amount of meat they receive each month, depending on how many mouths there are to feed. They offer two different sized boxes include one with enough meat for 24 meals and another with enough for 48 meals.
Shipping is always free. Their meat is frozen at the peak of freshness, individually vacuum-packaged, and delivered to your door in an insulated box, frozen and packaged with care. All of our boxes are filled with a specific amount of dry ice that’s carefully calculated based on your geographic location. You’ll receive a tracking number the night your box ships. And for a limited-time, new members can get 2 free filet mignons, free bacon, and $10 off their first box.
