Get out of that same ol’ recipe rut and try one of these delicious and easy recipes this week! This week I highly recommend making the Bacon Cheeseburger Stuffed Potato Skins, the White Bean and Corn Veggie Burgers and the Guinness Corned Beef Reuben Pizza!
Happy Sunday and Happy Saint Patrick’s Day TKW Family! How are you spending your day? So yesterday Pittsburgh had their huge parade to celebrate. If you’ve never been to Pittsburgh for our St. Patrick’s Day parade, do yourself a favor and see it once in your life. We go all out and it’s no joke! I love my city, truly as it has such a hometown vibe. The people are just so nice and down to earth and it has almost a family-type vibe while walking downtown.
So yesterday I made a day date with my bff, Vanessa, to go downtown, do some shopping in the strip and then lunch. It wasn’t until I was almost to her home and i received a text, “Um, you do know the parade is today AND it’s a home Pens game.”
This was not what I wanted to hear. Again I love my city, love the Pens but our traffic is HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORIBLE! OMG seriously, some of the worst traffic I have been in, in my life. And yes, I’ve been in LA, ATL, NY all during rush hour and trust me, Pittsburgh is worst! Enter SIRI and Google Assist to help us maneuver the city and miss most of the traffic. We did though get to people watch – green beer, and people, galore! LOL
Everyone needs a day date!
Whether it’s with your bff, your spouse, or even by yourself I HIGHLY recommend having one. Fortunately Mr. Fantabulous is healing finally and was able to be alone for a few hours yesterday so I could have some down time with Vanessa. Once we finished our supply shopping we stopped at a few stores in the strip and then stopped for a super yummy lunch. If you love grilled cheese and tater tots, I HIGHLY recommend Ba-Co in the Smallman Gallery! I’m foodie friends with the owners Sara and Tim. The restaurant is fairly new and seriously delish!
Unplugged
If you guys don’t mind, I’m going to unplug for the rest of the day and just enjoy some downtime – well after I finish the laundry, put away the 2 dozen of bagels I made this morning and start my corned beef. I’m thinking I need to take a day off in the near future. If you need immediate help on a recipe, leave a comment on it or send me an email using my contact form.
And with that, have one fantabulously amazing week!
