Happy Sunday, er Monday, er Tuesday TKW Family! Talk about CRAZY these past 9 days have been for me. First I was in Chicago for 3 days for the Unite Fresh Produce Association conference as one of 5 blog influencers to speak to hundreds of brands and stores on the behalf of blog readers and consumers. Then when I got home we had to get the house ready for an Agent Open house and then it was Father’s Day. Now that wouldn’t have been bad or any unlike my normal crazy chaotic life BUT we also got stuck in traffic for 2 hours on Sunday because the main road in Pittsburgh was closed. Lovely… <sigh> I hate road construction.
I had it all planned out, I would write up this weekly menu post when I got home after we spent the afternoon with the Fantabulous in-laws but we didn’t get home til super late and by the time I got home I was utterly exhausted. I think what did me in was the 2 days of nothing but extreme house and yard work. I mean I actually had to run the excavator to pull down a few trees. ME! And Excavator!
House updates
So yeah, we had an agent open house and a few prospective buyers come by. All positive feedback; actually everyone was blown away by the house and estate as a whole. The one prospective buyer told our agent “… this house is goes on forever! It’s like a magical resort! This house is absolutely gorgeous!”. We have a few more showings this week so I truly anticipate something soon – I hope!
It’s scary though; the thought of moving. I mean we’ve downsized a lot but we still have A LOT here as it’s a massive house and coach house. I’m thinking we’re going to have one massive estate sale. However I did tell Mr. Fantabulous that we’ll hire movers to move us cross country. No way is this girl doing any more of the heavy lifting.
New Facebook Group
Thousands of you have said “Lori, we never see your facebook posts in our feed anymore. We miss you!” I miss you guys too! Unfortunately the social media algorithms change constantly where it’s not like how it was in the “old days” where if you liked a page it showed up each and every time the page posted in your feed.
What I decided to do, and that’s recommended by most social media experts, is to also create a Private Facebook Group page off of my business page. The kitchen is where both food and memories are made! Share along in the kitchen adventures of our TKW Family! Here is where you can ask questions about recipes, products, kitchen techniques or just chit chat! about food! It’s a great way to also showcase your creations but most importantly you’re guaranteed to never miss a recipe post! Click on the Private Facebook Group to request to join!
