Happy Sunday TKW Family! What’s shakin’ folks? Can you believe that tomorrow is July?! I mean where in the world did May and June go? It seems like a blur to me. Oy! Who’s ready fot the 4th of July? Yeah, I’m not. With it being on a Thursday I’m on the fence about taking a vacation day on the 5th to have a nice, long 4-day weekend. Do you host a cookout or perhaps take you vacation around that time?
Speaking of vacation, I want to go on a trip but I’m not sure where. With the house on the market and the liklihood of us getting an offer soon, we don’t really want to be out of the country vacationing and then have to cut it short to sell the house. Maybe a 2-day trip somewhere close might not be a bad idea. Suggestions on a 2-3 day trip starting from Pittsburgh?
Gone Fishin’
So we finally went fishing last week. AND we caught 4 fish. I hadn’t gone since I was young and I honestly forgot how relaxing it was. Where we live we have a beautiful park with a couple man-made lakes that are set out in the country. Benches are set up all around the lake along with running tracks and playgrounds for the kiddos. I used to go running there all the time when we first moved here or take our dog walking. Although halfway around the lake I’d have to end up picking up the 60 pound moose and carrying him as his old legs couldn’t take much more. After we were done, I’d put him in the truck and take him for chicken nuggets as a treat. Yeah, he was SPOILED!
But so yeah, I caught fish! At first Mr. Fantabulous put all the worms on for me but the one time when Jaws ate my bait and I needed a new worm put on I looked over on the dock for my husband to call for help but he just looked so peaceful that I didn’t want to bother him. So I pulled up my big girl gutchies and put the worm on myself.
Yes… I put the worm on my own hook all by myself! Well okay… technically I used 2 sticks and wore rubber gloves BUT I did it all. LOL Sorry but I can’t do it. They creep the hell out of me!
