These Weekly Menu recipes allow you to get out of that same ol’ recipe rut and try some delicious and easy dishes! This week I highly recommend making the Shrimp Egg Roll Thin & Crispy Pizza, Ham, Turkey, and Cheese Stuffed Pizza Puffs, and the Bourbon Honey Butter Pork Tenderloin!
Happy Sunday TKW Family! I did a ‘thing’ y’all. I actually took a week off from my website. I know, who does that? I still answered comments and helped out folks that needed it. But other than that, I just needed to take a little break. I even took a quasi-hiatus from social media too.
I scheduled out all of my Facebook and Instagram posts for the entire week. I allowed myself 15 minutes a day on social media to respond to folks, chime in on things and interact.
It was my birthday week plus it was the week I switched my work hours to working East Coast hours. This meant up at 3 am, working by 4 am, and trying to get everything else done here.
I knew I’d be tired and felt that it wasn’t fair to give you guys just part of me. That’s not what you signed up for and that’s not how I work. So I kind of took a little vacation if you will from here. Did I miss it? OMG yes! But it allowed me to focus on myself, get some much-needed rest and most importantly, it allowed me to think about strategy and next steps for TKW.
Blessed Birthday
I seriously married the most amazing, thoughtful person ever! The morning of my birthday, even though I had been up working for about 5 hours, Mr. Fantabulous insisted on making me breakfast. Since I normally don’t have my first meal until the early afternoon I asked him for some fresh fruit. Later that day, I had to run out and get some things as he had planned a party for me. While I was out I got a text, “Honey, I called the store and they set up a beautiful display of flowers for you to choose from. Please pick up as many as you’d like.”
Now before some of you say “He should have got them for you himself” realize that the man can barely walk right now let alone drive due to a severe leg injury. He’s hobbling around until he can have his surgery. And I’m sorry but I would have been super mad if he had them delivered as the prices for flowers to be delivered are absolutely absurd.
When I returned home he said it was time for him and his Sous Chef, Betty Crocker, to make my birthday cake. Hahaha! He made me a 3-layered chocolate birthday cake all by himself! That night he had some of our friends over for snacks and to celebrate. Saturday we went out and bought some new furniture for the house which I’m super excited out.
The only bad stuff is that it won’t be here until late July/August. Today, it’s all about relaxing and watching movies. Just ‘us’ time.
New Brand Ambassadorship
“World’s Greatest Mixer” and rightly so. I’ve teamed up with my friends at Bosch Mixers to show just how amazing their Black Universal Plus Mixer is.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The other day I tested this mixer out on 5 pounds of pizza dough at 64% hydration. OH MY GOD! This came together so much faster than my old mixer and it was so much smoother. Like we’re talking significantly faster! The texture of my dough was absolutely PERFECT! Check out my Instagram Video!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As someone that makes dough professionally and personally every day, I wanted a mixer that could handle up to 12 pounds of dough in a single batch. Guys, this mixer is INCREDIBLE!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This mixer is light enough to move easily but is a true kitchen workhorse. What I love is the base has little suction cups to adhere to your counter. I’ve had other mixers that would “bounce” all over the counter.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It comes with a Sturdy 6.5 Quart, Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl, Dough Hook, Wire Whips, Plastic Whip Driver, Splash Ring, and Mixing Bowl Lid.
If you’re wanting a GORGEOUS workhorse that can handle more than 5 cups of flour, heavy doughs, yet perfect to make the fluffiest and lightest of cakes, then order one today through my special link!
TKW On YouTube
As I mention every Sunday, I have a YouTube channel. I’d LOVE and appreciate it if you subscribed there. I’m brand spanking new there and with the millions of TKW Family members out there, I really need to build up my subscription base there.
Not only am I creating videos for my newer recipes but I’m also going back and creating them for my most popular recipes.
Since I have 1000+ recipes posted, it’ll take me a little bit to get them all done but I’ll get there.
My goal is to do more longer-type 10-15 minute cooking videos where I talk to you while cooking – think TV show but candid.
Candid in the sense of – I scrape the whole bowl out (no, we don’t waste stuff in my house), I’ll get batter on my face, flour on my chest, and laugh at myself because I dropped/tripped/or just messed up what I was trying to say.
You’ll get me as me – true authentic Lori
Did you make a recipe? Leave a blog comment!
So why do I ask this? Two reasons:
- Honest feedback is appreciated. It helps me learn and grow.
- Most folks read the comments first before they decide on making a recipe or not.
We all visit blogs looking for delicious items and inspiration. What I find (and you should as well) the MOST USEFUL thing is the comments that people leave. Honest feedback, good or bad but respectful please, on a recipe.
You can give suggestions on what you’d tweak or a spin you put on it. Heck or just tell me that you loved it! Like how to make vegan, keto, or not use mushrooms.
This is how I grow and become better on here and it gives you guys real feedback. The absolute most critical thing you can do for me is to leave a comment on the blog recipe post.
When I look at someone else’s recipe I read the comments as to me, that’s honest feedback. So when you make a recipe of mine or plan on making it, leave a comment on the post. I, and everyone else that goes to my site, truly would appreciate it!
