With fall and football season here, this cheesy baked ricotta dip is perfect for game day! Crispy pepperoni, crumbled Italian Sausage, and spicy pepperoncini baked on top of a cheesy ricotta spread and finished with a hot honey drizzle.
I Ate The Entire Thing
Now I ate it over 3 days BUT I:
- did not share a single bite
- did not tell Mr. Fantabulous I made this
- made this countless times since creating it (and yes, I shared those…eventually)
Grab Your Ingredients
This dip comes together in mere minutes and takes about 15 minutes to bake. You can make crostini at the same time with this too!
- Cheese – Ricotta, freshly grated parmesan, freshly shredded mozzarella
- Italian Seasoning
- Minced Garlic
- Meats – cooked Italian sausage and chopped
- pepperoni
- Pepperoncini
- Hot Honey
One other thing I use (and love) is this Emile Henry Cheese baker dish. I love it as it’s covered and it’s perfect for this dip and baked brie!
Let’s Make This Dip!
- In a food processor/blender (you can also do this by hand as well), ricotta, parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic, and olive oil. Process until smooth and creamy.
- Transfer the mixture to a cheese baker or a baking dish.
- Add the shredded mozzarella then top with the cooked sausage, pepperoni, and pepperoncini.
- Cover with the lid (or foil) and bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove the lid/foil and broil just for a few seconds to crisp up the pepperoni (*optional)
A Finishing Drizzle of Hot Honey
This is one ingredient I wish was around when we had our pizzeria! Seriously I LOVE hot honey! The linked version is my absolute favorite and honestly, the best I’ve ever had.
Right before serving (while the dish is still hot), drizzle on the hot honey.
Time To Eat!
The first time I made this I didn’t have any crostini-style bread but I had amazing marble rye. So I cut the slices up, brushed them with some olive oil, and baked them up like I would crostini.
Seriously this was AMAZING!!!! It reminded me of like all the best toppings on a spicy pepperoni and sausage cheesy pizza but paired with ooey gooey cheese!
What To Serve With Italian Seasoned Baked Ricotta with Double Meat and pepperoncini Dip
Yeah, that’s a mouthful but my friends what a delicious mouthful it is! Here are some of my favorite things to serve with it.
- Crostini – any type of crispy bread
- Bread Sticks – even those ones you get at OG are amazing with this! But crusty bread sticks work too
- Chips – pretzels, potato chips, pita chips, and corn chips rock this dip in a big way
- Veggies – go with crunchy veggies like carrots, jicama, celery are awesome with this
- Garlic Knots – whip up some garlic knots and dip those into this! It’s almost like a pizza!
