Honeycomb, whipped vanilla honey ricotta, and fresh fruits come together in a heavenly dessert crostini. This simple and sweet delight will elevate any gathering or simply satisfy your sweet cravings.
Sweet Tooth Satisfaction
Even though most of us love chocolate, cakes, and stuff like that, sometimes you don’t want it to be heavy. That’s where this dessert crostini comes to the rescue. It’s a light, sweet bite that you can customize with whatever fruits you have on hand or that are in season
Grab Your Ingredients
The only mandatory ingredients you need are the prepared dip, fresh fruits, and crostini.
- 3-ingredient Vanilla Honey Whipped Ricotta dip
- Homemade Crostini
- Fresh fruits – berries, grapes, bananas
- Honey
3-Ingredient Vanilla Honey Whipped Ricotta
As I shared in this post, this 3-ingredient Vanilla Honey Whipped Ricotta dip is so easy to make! The first time I made it we had friends here and I was in the middle of testing out the recipe. I whipped this up and had them try it. They DEVOURED the entire bowl in one sitting! They kept calling it “dessert toast”.
Making the dip is so simple really.
- Add the ingredients to a small food processor and process for 30 seconds, stopping it to remove the lid and scrape the sides/bottom. Replace the lid and process for another 30 seconds or until it’s super creamy and whipped.
- Remove the lid, taste for sweetness, and add more if desired.
Ways To Serve
Once the dip is chilled enough, I like to put this on a platter or board with assorted fresh fruits, the crostini, maybe a small jar of honey, and perhaps some honeycomb.
When it comes to serving fresh fruits put them out right before serving. If you’re also serving sliced bananas, toss them with just a light splash of lemon juice. It’ll help curb them from browning.
- To a slice of crostini, spread on some of the 3-ingredient Vanilla Honey Whipped Ricotta dip.
- Top with some sliced fruits, and a bit of honeycomb and finish it with a drizzle of honey.
Recipe Additions and Substitutions
The biggest modifications here are going to be the fruits you use.
- Fruits – The beauty of this recipe is that you can go with whatever fruits are in season or what you love. The base honey vanilla dip is so versatile that it can accept many different toppings
- Chocolate – Instead of adding honey or honeycomb, shave chocolate overtop of the fruits before serving
- Coconut – Add bits of coconut with the fruit for a tropical flavor
- Candied Ginger –
- Cinnamon – you can grate cinnamon over top or even add it to the mixture
- Zest – grated orange, lemon, and lime zest would work beautifully overtop of the fruits
